I have to admit being amazed by the adoptions, dedication and commitment to the feline/canine cause after returning home to WI over these past few years. It's not exactly the guy I knew, but in hindsight....it makes a lot of sense.
We had the good fortune of hosting JC for a few days in Austin before joining him for a road trip home last year. After 2 weeks away, let's just say the cats partied like Gremlins. We spent the next 24 hrs cleaning up, w Collins pacing around the house with a signature 'MEOW'??? Trying to locate 2 or 3 of the missing. A soft and sensitive side I'd never seen.
Long story short, I got to see where his love was going over these past few years. He may have distanced from some of us, but the love/passion output never wavered....it was just redirected towards those around him that needed it, and would love JC right back for it. And that's no surprise.
Much love and admiration to JC for all those you touched
